It should not hurt

I dreaded breastfeeding with Fateh. It is so hurtful that I would cry every time I breastfeed him. The situation got worse when I got sore nipple (right) and cracked nipple (left). I should enjoy breastfeeding, but I was at my wit's end.

Kak Tini has been a lifesaver, I called her on Tuesday, I was so tearful, that I said I am going to stop breastfeeding. She contacted the lactation unit at Hospital Pantai, Bangsar and asked me to talk to Kak Rokiah yesterday.

So I ended up going to the hospital today, to meet kak Rokiah, a lactation assistant. Found out that Fateh incorrectly latch on my breasts.

Wrong latch-on.Baby's lower lip should not be pursed inward, but should be turned outward.
This is how Fateh has been breastfeeding all along. Padanlah sakit! At first sight, it looks normal. But when you notice the lower lip, you know the position is wrong.

Baby's top and bottom lip should be turned out (everted).
When baby takes the breast with mouth open wide, he'll have a "fish mouth" look as he nurses. If his bottom lip is pulled inward instead of outward, use the index finger of the hand that is supporting the breast to pull out that lower lip. (You may need a helper to take a peek under the breast and do this for you while baby is latched-on.) Martha Sears, who logged 18 years of breastfeeding 8 children dubs this technique the lower lip flip. This lower lip flip may be all that's needed to keep baby from tight-mouthing your nipple.

Images from AskDrSears.com. The article on proper latching on is here.

Anyhow, the session lasted nearly 2 hours. Kak Rokiah was patient to ensure a proper latch on with Fateh. She said it will not be easy at first since he learned to suck improperly from the first day he was born. Some of the tips given to ensure he learns to latch on properly:

  1. When baby is crying while the mom is trying to latch on, try to calm the baby first. Cradle him and positioned his head on your shoulder.
  2. Ensure the baby's mouth is wide open (like a yawn), and quickly put your areola inside his mouth.
  3. The latch on should look like a gold fish mouth (refer to the picture above).
  4. If the baby cries when you try to relatch again, hand express your milk in a feeding cup, and give it to him (I got one from kak Rokiah - Medela Feeding Cup). Then try to latch on back, the baby will be calmer since he already feeds from the cup.
  5. When trying to latch on, try to be not too stress. If the baby cries again, repeat Tips # 1.

After a lot of practices, Fateh managed to do it properly. And I try to teach him to relatch properly at home.

Cost for 1 lactation consultation = RM 50. Mine is free with the feeding cup! *wohoo* (kes kak Rokiah kesian kat aku, baby dah besar tapi tak pandai latch properly.. hehehe). Anyway, I would suggest that anyone who encountered breastfeed problem to consult a LC right away. Jangan tunggu lama-lama macam myself.

Anyway, it is never too late to learn back right?

Untuk Fudhayl

Seperti semalam rasanya saya berborak dengannya di telefon 2 Sabtu lepas. Seperti semalam saya mendapat khabar dia melahirkan Fudhayl.

Sahabat, bukan mudah rupanya mempunyai kekuatan sepertimu!

Inilah kerja tengah pantang..

Acik sekarang rajin tau.. dok perah memerah sebelum naik kerja. Hari ni hari terakhir pantang, tapi aktiviti di bawah ni mesti diteruskan (walaupun mungkin korang rasa macam membazir buat stok EBM, tah camna nak hangkut naik flight gi UK pun tatau lagi.. wahaha). Part ni nanti acik kena belajar ngan Puan Dali, mama Zafyra yang comel lote tuuu.

Ni acik spare 2 botol dalam peti ais bawah. Sebabnya Fateh ditakdirkan kena breastmilk jaundice, doktor suruh bagi additional susu botol dalam 2 feedings kat dia. Acik pun dok bagi susu perahan acik kat Fateh. Berat Fateh tak naik sangat, doktor prescribe Appeton. Acik pun confuse gak, sebab Fateh melekat 24 jam, tapi doktor dok cakap tak cukup susu. Acik sekali perah 2-4 oz la biasanya. Doakan yer korang, berat Fateh naik.. kurisau sangat sebab doktor cakap possibility kena bagi FM tu ada. Padahal stok susu berkoyan tu!

Ha, botol kosong belah kanan tu siap ada corong kecil tu.. Acik perah pakai tangan, you all! Teknik Mermet dah terror, wawawa.. Sebabnya? Semalam meroyan ngan Nieja sebab dah teruk sangat luka. Nieja, semalam kita borak 43 minit 3 saat koo.. Botak kepala suamimu nak bayar bil karang. Tapi Nieja nih memang best kalau telefon acik, habis segala petua dia bagitau pasal cracked nips, sambil-sambil dia dok borak pasal penyusuan ibu. "Wei, tak panas telinga ke Aida?". Panas gak telinga ko, naik lenguh tangan aku pegang handphone. Tapi sebab tau, kalau borak ngan member ni.. paling koman pun 30 minit.. layann baik punya!

Kalau diaorang tak bising, memang acik buat malas-malasan kot. Tapi acik tau, diaorang ni nasihat baik punya. Walaupun acik ada experience menyusu Fahri sampai 2 tahun, selalu acik mesti tanya 2 orang ni kalau ada kemusykilan. Walaupun susu diaorang banyak, diaorang tak pernah take for granted, dan sentiasa mengepam ikut jadual untuk maintainkan supply susu tu..

Bak kata Nieza semalam, "Senang2 ginilah, bayangkan susu takde kat dunia ni. Susu ko jer yang ada nak bagi kat anak.."

Huhu, TQ Nieza, TQ Kak Miejaa.. ku takkan berada di sini tanpa kamu berdua! And of course, Forum CARI breastfeeding geng.. yang lama dan baru *wah, cam ucapan dapat award pulak*

A slice of cheesecake. Thanks dear :) *muackss*

TQ sisters!

Alyaa came by with the kids (my kids had been lodging at mom's house during my confinement period. Thanks Ummi ^_^) to look at Fateh. Fiqah + her gave me a present.

Oh ya, BTW, I know Etude House is a branded name (ala-ala Skin Food)

What a nice box! Cute card :)

Tadaa.. apple body wash and body lotion.. Harus lepas ni mandi bau epal hijau, yummylicious!

To Aini, thanks for the Sophie Kinsella's Twenties Girls (even though I did warn you I am sick of books.. hehehe), but this book was fun!

How to increase your milk?

Before I am back to work during my time with Fahri, here is my EBM. Ciput, kan?

When Fahri was 3-month old, I have to top up with formula milk.
I even have to throw away my EBMs, due to my carelessness on the freezer door part. Tehee..

I managed to exclusive breastfeed, because I add my pumping session. Siap buat buku hutang tu! Kak Tini, I bangun mengepam jam 12 tengahmalam dengan 3 pagi nak dapatkan balik stok susu tau.

Some revision, on how to increase milk production (my method):

[1] Do not get too stress when you are pumping.
Do not even think about your MPI (milk production index) at all. Do not even stare at your milk bottle. You just have to distract yourself from thinking about it. I read when I pump (in case you are wondering, I use an auto pump). I know it's hard, but it is a learned art. You will get the hang of it :).

[2] Learn how to do letdowns.
Different techniques works with different people. My letdown occurs when I pumped really fast in the first phase, and when letdown starts, I pump slowly to maximise the milk output. Thus, using Medela Swing really helps. But I know lots of people who even can do it with their manual pump. I even make do with Medela Harmony (manual pump with 2-phase expression) before.

[3] Switch from one breast to another.
To ensure maximum output, try to pump 7 minutes and switch, 5 minutes and switch, and 3 minutes and switch. In total, 15 minutes for each breast.

[4] Add more pumping session.
To ensure your stock is not fastly depleting, ensure that you achieved the baby's milk consumption for the day. Let say, if your baby drinks 20 oz of milk while you are working, please pump till you get 20 oz per day.

If you want to make stock, add more pumping session to achieve more than that.It is really tiring, but I managed to pump more than 20 oz per day when Fahri is less than 6 months. I woke up 1-2 times at night and ensure that I should pump at least 5 times per day to achieve my 20 oz target.

[5] Do tandem pumping.
While your baby drinks from one breast, try to pump from the other breast. I find this works and yield more MPI results.

[6] Feed from one breast ONLY at night.
Your other breast, you will save it for morning pumping session. You will have more MPI in the wee hours in the morning.

Other techniques, that some of my friends shared on increasing your milk output:

[1] Power pumping.
Allocate 1 hour for 3 straight days.

If you use single pump, pump 20 mins (10 mins for each side), and rest for 10 minutes. Then, continue to pump for 20 mins, and rest for 10 minutes.
Total = 1 hour

If you use double pump, pump 10 mins for both breasts, and rest for 10 minutes. Then pump again for 10 minutes, and rest (10 minutes). Pump for the 3rd time (10 minutes), and rest for 10 minutes.
Total = 1 hour

[2] Pump every 2 hours.
For 3 straight days.

And that means you have to wake up at night to pump. Total pumping session should be 12 times, with breastfeeding in between.

Pump for 10 minutes if you are using double pump, and 20 minutes if you are using single pump.

All the best!

Paling penting, kalau nak susu banyak, maknya kena rajin.

I am pumping like crazee

Dah masuk pumping phase ni, gila mengepam balik jadinya. Selalunya hari-hari biasa mengepam 3 / 4 kali sehari.. target tiap-tiap 3 jam.

Kisahnya, hari kedua bersalin, elok-elok hantar SMS kat kengkawan penyusuan ibu. Sekali my sifoo, Kak Mieja tercinta telefon, dan soalan pertama keluar dari mulut dia, "Aida, dah mula pam susu?". Huhu, trust kak Mieja to give a direct question like that (jangan malas-malas mengepam hokay). Second day of delivery, I already started pumping to stimulate, walaupun pam keluar angin saja. Hari pertama - hari ketiga, memang susu matang tak keluar lagi, jadi B akan rasa kempis, tapi yakin boleh.. sebab kolostrum tu ada, walaupun tak nampak dek mata kasar dan risau baby ni sedut angin ke apa.

Balik rumah pula, awal-awal dah telefon geng, Nieza, tanya jadual mengepam. Masa ni dah start pam sekali sehari, tambah-tambah bila dah masuk hari ke-4 tu, time susu matang keluar, start mengepam 3 kali sehari.

Alhamdulillah, masa tu Allah dah bukakan hati nak start pumping, lepas dah kena advise macam-macam dari kak Mieja dan Nieza (ya, support group sangat penting!). Ditakdirkan, Fateh pula kena jaundice, dan admitted kat hospital, lagilah macam nak gila mengepam. Tiap-tiap 2 jam mengepam. Malam jangan cakaplah, dah tertidur time mengepam tu. Tapi sebab anak punya pasal, I keep on pumping and pumping.

Dan sekarang, I keep on schedule of 3 hours pumping. Malam tak buatlah, mata dah macam panda ni haa, I need my beauty sleep also (mampus kena sound ngan kak Mieja kalau dia tau tak mengepam jam 12 tghmalam & 3 pagi.. :P)

Jadual pengepaman hari-hari:

6 pagi
9 pagi
12 tengahhari
3 petang
6 petang
9 malam

P/S: Hai bilalah nak dapat 10 oz sekali mengepam macam sifoo aku tuuu...

Kalau Fateh dah menyusu masa pumping time, I will skip my pumping session (sebab dia biasanya menyusu lebih 30 minit), atau akan mengepam 1- 1.5 jam kemudian.

Ini pula sesi sekali mengepam. Kalau dapat 3 - 4 oz tu, syukur alhamdulillah.. Biasanya output 1-3 oz untuk satu sesi

Pam susu, awal-awal dah letak sebelah katil. Jadi seawal jam 6 pagi, pam tu dah bekerja - biasanya masa ni tandem pumping (Fateh minum sebelah, sebelah lagi pumping).

Alhamdulillah, setakat ni dah berketul stok EBM (tak boleh tunjuk gambar, nanti member peer pressure, hehehe).

How I love breastfeeding!

Movie review: Sicko

This movie was screened yesterday at Star Movie. I did try to watch it in numerous occasions, but usually within the first 30 minutes, I would switch to other channels. I had the advantage of watching it after it was halfway screened yesterday, and boy, it was INTERESTING when the director (Michael Moore) started comparing the US medical system (which is similar like Malaysia) with other countries' medical system.

In US, you got to have the money/ medical insurance to be admitted to private hospitals, to cover for the high medical costs. Thus the first segment of the movie, Moore interviewed US citizens who were denied of basic health care, because they don't have the money/ the medical insurance. Hmm, this sounds more and more like Malaysia, right?

And when he went to the UK, he was shocked to know that UK provide FREE medical care under NHS (National Health Service). It started in 1948, right after the World War 2. He interviewed one of the ex-congressman, and the congressman said that, the idea behind the free health service is "If the country could spend money on war, why couldn't the country spend the money on health care for its people?". Even the ex-congressman noted, that if UK pull back the NHS, there would be riots.

Moore further interviewed the medical team at the UK hospital when the radiologist laughed (Moore asked him the medical bill of one patient) since he said, this is the first time he was asked that question. Interestingly, as a patient, we can even get money from the cashier counter, to cover for transportation cost after we were discharged from the hospital! One doctor that Moore interviewed said, they would get a raise when their patients had a healthy wellbeing, and this was measured by the numbers of patients under their care, for example: recovered from cancer, or stop smoking, or lead a healthy lifestyle.

Next, Moore went to France, and interviewed a bunch of Americans living there, and discovered:
  1. You can get free medical care in France (just like UK).
  2. If you worked more than 35 hours a week, you are entitled to get day off the next day. This is applicable for contract / part time workers also!
  3. You are entitled for minimum 5 weeks paid leave, usually big corporations give 8-10 weeks paid leave in a year.
  4. You are entitled for one week honeymoon leave, when you get married (interesting), on top of your annual paid leave.
  5. France had a 24-hour medical line, which was called "SOS Medicins", a French 24-hour medical service, that provides house call by physicians.
  6. The nursery cost is 1 EU dollar per hour!
  7. Free education till university level!
  8. And get this, this really boggles me: if you give birth, the government sent you a nanny to do your household chores and take care of your baby after your delivery for a month FREE OF CHARGE! Gila ke hapa? And even you can request the nanny to take care of your kid, after your postnatal confinement for 4 hours per day, 2 times a week, FREE OF CHARGE.

Seriously, I am considering moving to France after watching and hearing all the perks! It is a very family oriented country.

And the best part, is when Moore went to Cuba, and found out Cuba also provides free medical service to its people. Even the country had a regulation that for every housing area, the area should have a pharmacy and a hospital nearby.

Even one American had to contain herself and cried outside one Cuba's pharmacy, when she found out, the cost of her medicine in Cuba is ony 5 cents (the cost in US is 120 dollars). She tells Moore, that it is like a joke on her medical bills.

Moore brings some Americans (particularly the Sept 11th rescue workers who suffered medical conditions, eg: breathing problems) to a Cuba hospital, and they were admitted there, free of charge, no questions asked at the admission counter about their money to pay the bills.

Even one American said, the cost charged by the dentist in America is USD 15,000 to change his teeth, and in Cuba, it is free of charge!

This is a powerful film, and an eye opener for me, since Malaysia's health system is seriously profit oriented like the USA.

And as one man said in the film;
"If the country could spend money on war, why couldn't the country spend the money on health care for its people?"

I wish one day, Malaysia could provide free health care for its people.

Adik is finally home!

Alhamdulillah.. what a relief!

Fateh was admitted to the hospital on Monday evening. He didn't wet his diapers much (only 2-3 diapers per day), and his pee was bloody. We went to his paedetrician immediately. After a blood test, his bilirubin level is at 22.4 (normal reading for babies at 8 days should be 0-10).

Only Fateh was admitted, and I cannot logged in due to very bad eyes infection. That day marked my pumping session for every 2-3 hours till today. I cried and cried wholeheartedly when I saw him under the UV lights.

Adik on his first day of admission

My VERY bad eyes infection

His birilubin level dropped to 17 on the next day, and we were relieved. On Wednesday, it dropped to 12.5 and I breastfeed him at the hospital for 2 sessions (I have an appointment with Dr Rahman BTW). I have to tell the nurses that I want cup feeding when I saw them bottlefeed him (yes, Tawakal Hospital is not a baby friendly hospital yet).

And it really hurts when they keep asking should they top up with formula when I delivered Fateh last week. I even asked for a lactation consultant, but they didn't send one. And what do you expect when the lactation nurses are only around 20-22 y.o., unmarried and could not understand a mother's feeling about naturally feeding her OWN baby?

Since I am at home (3 nights without Fateh), I keep pumping my milk to be send to the hospital. Yes, he was topped up with formula at the hospital, but I am also trying my best pumping every 2-3 hours to pump out milk for him. Takkan nak biarkan anak kelaparan pulak kan?

But then I noticed when I breastfeed him yesterday at the hospital, when I went back, I got double the output than usual. Yes, baby is still the best stimulator for me.

Alhamdulillah, the senior nurse called me this morning and said he can be discharged today. His bilirubin level dropped to 10.2, yey for that!

And he is sleeping peacefully after feeding from me :).

Tuesday, 17 November 2009

My little warrior was diagnosed with neonatal jaundice yesterday. Can't logged in the hospital due to very bad eyes infection. Please pray for the speedy recovery. Can't go to the hospital today because of high fever. Only hubby keep sending my milk to the hospital. Later will update. I am not in high spirit.

The birth chronology: Fateh Aqmar

Fateh Aqmar on his 2nd day

Huah, sebab dah ada orang request nak tanya kronologi bersalin, bolehlah nak update sekejap. Maklumlah, dah sampai rumah, alhamdulillah.. heheh.

Ok la, birthday Aqmar sama dengan Fawwaz tau.. Aduh, rupanya adik Aqmar nak tunggu birth date sama ngan abangnya. November babies lagilah, jimat maknya nak beli kek. Kongsi tiga orang (due date Aqmar sama dengan birth date Amni ;) ). Fahri jer special, bulan 4.. ekekek.

9 November tu, dari malam sebelumnya, asyik nak terkucil jer.. Tawaf habis dah shopping complexes kat KL nie, sebab last check up hari Jumaat lepas, baby belum engage. Apa lagi, terus pergi sambung berjalan kat Lake Garden, kawasan sekitar Jalan TAR dan Jusco Wangsa Maju. Malam 8 November, dah masuk toilet ulang alik 2 jam sekali.

Pagi 9 November pula, bangun-bangun je, rasa sakit perut kat lower abdomen. Dok aduh la, tapi sebab tak turun tanda (darah/air ketuban), buat relaks jer la. Pagi-pagi dah telefon kak Tini tanya kalau sakit perut kira contraction ke.. tapi timing lari-lari la. Siap kak Tini pesan jangan tak jadi pulak gi jumpa geng penguin, hahaha. Mujur En Suami insist kalau nak ikut Aini, bawa beg hospital siap-siap. Temankan Aini for personal matters.

Dah tengahari tu, gi MV pulak, last trip jumpa Gang of 4 the penguins. Maklumlah, aku tau kak Tini tu mesti tengah boring kat rumah. Lynn nak ambil aku, dia cakap dia nak suruh Lynn ambil dia kat rumah (ish, mengada betul). Pergi makan kat Popeye's. Sebelum tu, telefon dulu En Suami siapkan GL, kot-kot false alarm dan doktor suruh balik rumah dulu.

Tunggu lama betul Lynn & kak Tini, kitaorang ngap dulu. Lynn kerja hari tu, so dia kan pekerja cemerlang, takdelah nak mengelat tau... Sambil makan tu, ada 2 orang anak dara tengah makan sebelah meja kitaorang. Bila kak Tini & Lynn datang, I told her, "Rasa macam nak bersalin ni, sakit kat perut 20 minit sekali." Yang anak dara 2 orang tu, muka horror tengok aku, and cringed when they heard I am actually in labour... hahaha. Camna la yer dieorang kahwin dan nak bersalin nanti (hmmmm).

Lepas tu gi solat Zohor, Aini & kak Tini kata nak gi MPH. Lynn dah masuk office masa tu, jadi aku pun ikut la.. Kak Tini, as usual, memang semangat beli buku. Sambil dok timing contraction jam 2 petang tu, bagilah pendapat untuk dia beli The Time Traveller's Wife. Dok sok-sek kat deme, rasa nak bersalin dah ni.

Aini pun zoom hantar kak Tini jam 3 petang. Aku call En Suami untuk tunggu kat klinik Dr Rahman. Bila datang jer, dengan meredah hujan lebat (Aini, jangan laju sangat bawa kereta), aku jumpa kak Ros, insist nak jumpa Dr Rahman. Dr Rahman lak muka dah monyok, agaknya nak tutup klinik kot sebab masa datang tu dah jam 4 petang.

Sekali doktor scan, "Dah engage ni.."
"Yelah doktor, tawaf dari hari Jumaat sampai Ahad."

Then doktor seluk, "Dah 4 cm ni.. Admit terus ke labour room."
Aaaaaa? "Tapi tak turun tanda pun?"
"Tak perlu turun tanda nak bersalin, mujur awak cepat, takut bersalin dalam kereta je."
"Doc, nak request epidural."

Terus kak Ros bawa aku pergi labour room, Aini jadi kuli angkat beg dan En Suami pun masuk kat labour room sekali.

Jam 4.30 tu, siap call Ummi, orang office cakap nak bersalin. Siap gelak-gelak lagi. Maklumlah, memang tak rasa sakit lagi.

Jam 5, Dr Rahman suruh suntik epidural terus. Sebab dia tau history tumpah darah lepas bersalin with Fawwaz and Fahri, memang confirm la duduk dalam labour room tu lama. Dr Hakim pun datang suntik.

Jam 5.20 Dr Rahman datang, dia seluk lagi, dah 8 cm. Muka serius terkejut sebab tak sangka cepat sangat. Yelah, baru 1 jam dari checkup ngan dia kat bawah, dah terbuka lagi 4 cm. "Nurul, tak sakit dah. Kan pakai epidural." Rasa nak tendang je doktor masa tu, sebab epidural tak ambil effect lagi. Dia terus pecahkan air ketuban. Hadoi, sakitnya mak ai..

Siap Dr Rahman pergi buat D&C dulu kat OT. Nurse timing contraction. Jam 6 petang dah terbuka 9 cm. 6.10 petang tu nurse seluk, dan ada training nurse pun seluk sekali.. adei la.

Sekali jam 6.20 rasa cam nak meneran, apa lagi, nurse suruh push dulu kasi buka jalan sementara tunggu doktor. Doktor turun sambil suruh push, siap cakap "Mimik muka jer lebih tu, push lagi." Time ni pun rasa nak tendang Dr Rahman lagi, berapa kali mau push daa.. Lebih 10 kali push (same as Fawwaz & Fahri, tak terkira dah).

Jam 6.30 petang, selamatlah Aqmar keluar. Alhamdulillah, rasa lega sesangat. Dan cepat benar bersalin, sakit betul-betul lepas dia pecahkan air ketuban tu 1 jam lebih jer.

Sambil doktor menjahit tu (wah cam jahit baju pulak kan.. kakaka), dia cakap "Awak ni, pakai IUD pun terlepas."
"Takpelah doktor, ada orang susah nak dapat anak, alhamdulillah, kami ni senang pulak."

Masa ni En Suami takde dah. Time doktor jahit, memang dia selalu takde, sebab dia fobia lepas tengok time Fawwaz keluar dulu, teruk sangat koyaknya.

4 stitches only, alhamdulillah. Badan pun rasa sihat dari bersalin sebelum ni. Cam biasa, duduk kat labour room tu sampai jam 12 tengah malam sebab darah keluar banyak. Rahim jer rasa sakit lebih, sebab dah beranak ramai.

Nih gambar penaja bersalin saya *muahs*, bersama anaknya (yang penting, kena pakai jaket company tu, pekerja cemerlang katakan)...

Eh bang, sengih lebar tuuu :)

Buasir oh buasir

Remember this post?

Huah, kupergi klinik hari Rabu lepas pun, masih tak surut sakitnya. Nak duduk tak boleh, nak baring telentang tak boleh.. aduh sakit-sakit. Tapi perjalanan ke toilet lancarlah pula, sebab ku hari-hari minum jus prune Sunsweet. Yang doktor kat klinik tu pun satu, tak tengok pun tahap kecederaan buasir tahap mana.. Dah kronik sesangat dah.

Hari Jumaat pergi jumpa Dr Rahman. Haha, Dr Rahman pun just prescribe ubat je (takde nak tengok-tengok ni). Dia cakap nak bagi ubat peluru, tapi seramnya nak sumbat. Lepas tu doktor pun cakap, ubat peluru untuk mengecutkan buasir.

Gel Xyloproct kena tekan masuk dulu kat situ, lepas tu baru sumbat ubat peluru.

Rupa-rupanya, macam ubat tiub bentuk kapur, lembik jer... hehehe, suspense. Tapi serius tak boleh pakai sendiri, kena minta tolong En Suami.

Lepas doc prescribe ubat, terus balik sumbat kat rumah.. Lega rupanya, ubat peluru tu untuk kecutkan buasir.

Alhamdulillah, hari ni masih buasir lagi, tapi dah kuranggg sangat sakitnya.

Aduh, dah nak due ni boleh lak buasir

Penjagaan Kebersihan: Atasi masalah buasir

Prof. Madya Mohamed Isa Abd. Majid
Pusat Racun Negara

I am home!!!!

Syukran ya Allah... syukran sangat-sangat.

I was admitted on 2.58 p.m. at Tawakal Hospital. And I have my routine maternal check up at the labour room: urine test, baby's heartbeat monitoring + shaving for C-sect preparation tomorrow.

Even the anesthetist already came to my ward to check my heartbeat for tomorrow's operation.

Then Dr Rahman came at 5.30 p.m., and he said... "Hmm, kat bahagian kanan perut lembut ni. Bawah dah keras ni."

And we went for a scan (that's the baby's head already DOWN!).. So my last check up with him was on Saturday when my baby's head was positioned breech, and my baby now is in normal position. Ya Allah! What a miracle in 5 days... seriously I was so shocked staring at the scanning machine.

And the best part is, "Balik rumah, nanti hujung minggu berjalan kat Tasik Titiwangsa. Jangan jalan kat airport, jauh tu kalau nak datang hospital."

Most of my friends SMS-ed me saying lucky me, since my O&G does not force me to go for induced labour or elective C-sect. Yelah, borang C-sect pun dah sain, most O&G that I know would surely proceed with that C-sect without scanning whatsoever (that's the case with Amni, BTW). Or induce me to go into forced labour (alang-alang dah masuk hospital kan?).

And now you know why I am still loyal to that same Dr Rahman.

P/S: My dad made a joke when we went to his house to fetch my kids, "Baby mano? Dale supik (plastik) ko?" (seeing me carrying my shoulder bag).

Nak kena admit dah petang niee

Admission form

Erm, heheheh... taktau lah nak jawab. Maklum ler, anak no 4. Yang berdebarnya... ni haaa, tengok bawah ni sikit, kena sign form sendiri untuk submission for C-sect. Yelah, last time C-sect tahun 2003 tu. Dah nak masuk 6 tahun dah pun, scar pun masih ada lagi.

Seram nak sign borang ni..

Ku kena admit masuk wad jam 3 petang ni. Kang jam 5 petang Dr Rahman nak check kot Encik Aqmar dah pusing kan.. Tapi still memang rasa kepala dia masih kat kanan perut maknya ni ha.. Hoho, kalau sempat pusing, bolehlah keluar hospital esok.

Kalau tak pusing, jam 9 pagi esok dah kena masuk OT buat spinal C-section.. Bzzzz *bunyi seram tak reti nak buat*

Yes, I am still with the same doctor

In case you girls are wondering again, yes I am going to the same hospital, seeing the same old trusted gynae for the 3rd time.

And still many wonders why I am still with the same doctor.

1. I delivered normally with him after only 1 year I delivered Amni thru c-sect.
2. He is the first O&G to be called when there is a high risk delivery.
3. He treated every visit as if I am carrying my first child, with detailed explanations, and suggestions to improve my pregnancy.
4. He knows the husband's name *gasp*. And yes, he remembers every patient he had (+ the patient's husband's).

And yet (drool eyes);

1. He still uses the same old weight scale, that I even phoned the nurse to tell them to change the scale once when I was pregnant with Fahri since it is not accurate. No, it is not a digital scale, it is still the old trusted scale.
2. He never changed his scan machine, so I never had the chance to see my baby in 3D scan. Ironically, there is a poster inside his office explaining the features of 3D scan.. hahahaha. Of course, the same old 2D scan is still in use.
3. He never ever decorates his office, it is the same old paint, same old chairs, same old desk.

On the other hand, Aqmar is a good name eh? Yes, I am carrying another boy! Er, should it be Fathi Aqmar or Fateh Aqmar?

As the doctor said to Amni, " Sorry ye kakak, dapat adik boy lagi."

Do you know that...?

You can update your TH account at Bank Islam? And the best part is, it is free of charge starting this month.

Before this was implemented, a charge of only RM 0.60 is deductable when you want to deposit / withdraw your money in TH account via Bank Islam's counter (ATM still rechargeable on TH withdrawal).

Thinking of the hassle to just go to TH just to deposit / withdraw money (with LRT ticket to be paid, and the walk to TH), I think RM 0.60 is a reasonable amount.

Hah, some more.. you can view your TH account balance via Bank Islam ATM. How convenient it is!

Thanks sis for the updates!

Semenjak Aini konvo ni, adalah sempat I dengar official song UIA.. tapi tak boleh tanding lagu MMU. Seriously, kalau putar kat radio, bukan ala-ala patriotik tau! Composed and sung by ex-MMU lecturer, Intan Nazrahayu (sekarang dah jadi komposer - Azalea).

Aini's and Mak Su's convocation!

Congratulations Aini for at last getting your Masters of Business Admin (Islamic Banking) scroll after waiting for the convo for a year. Apalah nasib badan anda ek, konvo degree pun kena tunggu setahun.. kehkeh. And scoring your MBA (first class!). So jangan lupa sambung PhD ok.. hikhik :D

And congratulations to my youngest aunt, Mak Su, for getting the award as Best Student (MBA Islamic Banking).. hehehe, kena sebut tu my youngest aunt tau, nanti Mak Su I rasa tua pulak.. for getting 3.96 out of 4.00.

Both of you rock!

P/S: Err Mak Su, nanti buat le kenduri sebab dapat best student tu, kahkah..

I have a date with C-sect

My appointment with Dr Rahman went quite well. My baby was in breech condition, with the buttock facing down, instead the head. In another twist of event, my air ketuban is also low (again!).

I did ask the doctor the possibility of vaginal birth, but he said that I have to sign a form to give him the consent. Of course, I opted for another form, the C-sect procedure form. He called the operation room to book a date for my C-sect.

Anyhow, I am going for the next check up next Friday.

As for the gynae, he said, let us see the possibility of normal delivery next week. Dah dapat surat hijau dah pun... kehkeh (beg pergi hospital pun belum kemas).

Semuanya kuasa Allah kan?

The C-sect experience

When I was in my 20++ weeks, the baby's head is already down in a normal position. And in 30++ weeks scan, the baby did something unexpected, he/she turned position (ala-ala melintang), with the baby's legs on my left side of tummy, while the head is on my right side. Then the gynae announced, the possibility of another C-sect. With the baby's legs straight and not berlipat as usual. Yes, my baby had a good time inside my tummy with that position. And that's the reason why he/she still plays peek a boo with me on the gender.

Why I so not prefer C-sect?

  1. When I delivered Amni, I feel really well only after 3 months.
  2. I was bedridden for 2 days after the C-sect.. uhuh, even the nurses have to bath me on my bed.
  3. The side effect of C-sect, is coughing. It hurts a lot when you cough, and you could feel the ache on your tummy.
  4. I could not walk properly for 2/3 weeks, another effect from C-sect.
  5. It was not easy to start breastfeeding.
  6. My friends said, the C-sect second experience was much worse than the 1st.. (and I wonder how some people prefer C-sect than normal?)
  7. It still hurts to lift heavy objects.
  8. I could not do even a simple household chores for nearly a month.
  9. When the nurses woke me after my C-sect, it feel really really cold and I thought I have died and gone to heaven.

Fawwaz oh Fawwaz

He bought a container full of biscuits last Sunday, courtesy from his Tok Ayah (who, BTW blogged and FBooked).

"Ibu, nak makan biskut!"
"Fawwaz dah makan kat rumah nek ummi?"
"Dah."
"Fawwaz makan apa?"
"Erm, Fawwaz makan mee, biskut dan burger je."
"Ni perut Fawwaz buncit ni. Nak biskut lagi?"

"Dah, dah, simpan biskut," abah said.

Quite a few people commented Fawwaz looked chubby.
Kalau dia tak makan, lagi kami susah hati kot?

Full blast Raya!

Tahun ni full swing beraya sebab:

1. Tahun 2007, anak-anak kena demam campak. Bawa jalan raya pun tak boleh, jadi atuk dia belikan anak itik buat dia main kat kampung time orang lain keluar pergi jalan raya. Itik tu, wallahualam, dah jadi apa tah. Masa balik kampung dulu, ada gak Fawwaz tanya pasal itik dia.. Agaknya atuk dia dah bagi orang kot?

2. Tahun 2008, Fahri demam berhari-hari. Dok muntah sampai dehydrated badan. Bawa pergi jalan raya, sampai habis baju raya spare, kena pinjam baju saudara. Seriously kills the mood 2 tahun sekali baru dapat balik Kelantan. Ada lagilah cerita di sebaliknya, sampai rasa macam mak yang sangat teruk, walhal bila pergi klinik, doktor cool jer tengok Fahri. Orang lain yang bising bukan-bukan.

Tahun ni, yehaaa... walaupun boyot, dan jadi chef de mission basuh kain baju berlonggok-longgok (berlonggok ni refer kat entire household, aku buat kerja amal jariah tolong mak mertua), rasa sangat bahagia sebab anak-anak sihat dan tak sakit. Tengok diaorang main dari pagi sampai ke petang time raya pun dah rasa seronok. Sampai tak larat nak bising dah. Fahri sampai koyak baju Melayu, main lari-lari sana sini. Ada sekali tu, anak-anak laki lari pergi tengok ular mati, astagfirullah. Abah merekalah kena pergi hambat budak-budak ni masuk rumah balik.

Sampai ada sekali tu aku bising, "Ish, asyik tengok channel ni jer, pening laa" - refer to Astro Ceria. Boleh pula Amni jawab balik, "Tadi channel 613, sekarang baru 611." Aik? Channel kartun gak tu..

Kalau ikut tak larat, memang lama dah flat sebab mengandung 8 bulan (yelah, I kan chef de mission basuh kain, adala 3-4 kali cycle semi auto washing machine tu baru habis baju sebelah siang, sebelah malam start cycle lain pulak dohhh), dengan nasihat doktor, jangan buat kerja berat-berat sebab air ketuban rendah, baby underweight etc. etc. sampai dah lali dengar warning. Doktor pun tahu aku stress kerja teruk sangat. Ala, raya... bukan selalu pun adik-beradik suami nak kumpul, time raya jelah riuh satu rumah. Kalau aku tak tolong, siapa lagi nak tolong. Kak ipar pun tengah mengandung (2 minggu beza dengan aku). Isteri adik ipar pun mengandung gak (7 weeeks). So yang last kopek, myself, kena tolong apa yang patut. Time adik ipar rehat sebab shift malam, kupun menolong ler susun kuih dan membasuh pinggan.. heheheh.

Hai, kalau ikut badan, lenguh tu jangan cakap ler, kuikui. Happy sebab keluarga semua sihat jer.. Apa-apa pun, gambar raya nanti dululah yer, tadi dah tanya cik abang mana dia letak kamera. Dia tengah layan bola kot kat bawah..

Esok MC. Jumaat lepas jumpa doktor, doktor senyum tengok berat baby dah naik.. Tapi MC tetap jalan.

Kenapa saya suka Nur Kasih?

1. Sebab Aini promote (ya, baru mula tengok minggu lepas) :P
2. Sebab ayah Aidil & Adam tak mati disebabkan sakit jantung atau barah otak
3. Sebab mak Aidil & Adam tak sakit disebabkan sakit jantung atau barah otak, tapi darah tinggi
4. Sebab kalau order air, Nur tak beli air fresh orange
5. Sebab Aidil tidak bermenung di tangga rumah sambil emaknya menyampuk tanya, "Bila nak kahwin?"
6. Sebab kalau Adam & Nur di kampung, mak dia tak masakkan lauk kegemaran masak asam pedas
7. Sebab bila tulis e-mel, tidaklah buka MS Word dan taip besar-besar. Macam kami ni bodoh pula tak tahu beza MS atau Internet mail
8. Sebab bila Adam jadi boss Nur, dia tidak duduk dalam bilik mewah seperti drama dunia korporat ataupun terus jadi VP syarikat itu
9. Sebab masa Adam duduk kat Australia, dia tak pakai muffler atau baju sejuk macam sejuk sangat la kat oversea tu
10. Sebab saya seorang je kat office tak tengok Nur Kasih, orang laki kat office saya pun layannnzzz

Mama buyung

Tadi kuterima panggilan dari Tinidewi jam 11.43 pagi
Oh, oh, rupanya member tu nak masuk labour room dah..

Padahal baru semalam dok borak dia cakap macam sakit-sakit. Kalau ikut history, semua anak dia on time / overdue dari tarikh jangkaan.

Agaknya baby no 3 ni tak sabar nak tengok dunia dah!

Lynn & Aini terkojat bila aku call tadi.. herher. Lynn kata just nice dia nak berbuka kat MidValley hari ni, boleh la gi jenguk kak Tini kot dah terbersalin malam nanti.

Selamat bersalin mama, moga selamat semuanya. Amin.

My bugging paid off

I have been bugging Kaplan Financial at Manchester for 2010 intake form (like 4 months already). Maybe because the customer representative got tired of me, they issued the form just for my sake.. HAHAHAH

extracts of the e-mails:

Dear Debbie,

May I ask you, can I get the enrolment form to enter Kaplan in Manchester for March 2010 intake?

I'm afraid you wont be able to get an enrolment form for 2010, the best time to request one is in December

Dear Claire, I forgot to ask you, is it possible if I fill the enrolment form for 2009, but I want to take the ACCA course in March 2010? ( I will mention inside the form that it is for the 2010 intake).

I have to get the offer letter from Kaplan first, before I can apply for my unpaid leave and inform my sponsor that I have secured a place to study ACCA at Kaplan Manchester. I will also be on my maternity leave starting November 2009, so I have to act fast.

Hi Aida

You can complete the form for 2009 for courses in June 2010. I have attached a copy of the form.
Hahah, form tu dah dapat hari ni, yeehaaa

Asal bahagia, sudah laa....

Kerja budak-budak ni time abah dia curfew tak bagi tengok TV. Dah pening la dok tengok Disney channel, Astro Ceria dan seangkatan dengannya.

Fawwaz suka la sangat buat peace sign kalau tangkap gambar, macam takde idea lain.

Hah ni satu lagi, suka betul punggah bantal (hobi lain: suka baca buku, kalau ada 10 gambar fish kat dalam buku tu, ibu & abahnya kena la sebut 'fish' sebanyak 10 kali). Sekali ada pulak partner in crime tolong punggah bantal.

Fahri tampal sticker Transformers kat tangan dia semalam. Asal bahagia sudah la yer... Siap suruh ambil gambar tu.

Terjemah je laa...

Aini and Lynn, very generous to me, faxed me a few copies of English novels to be translated. I am trying to test my skill as a translator. Manalah tau sempat berkursus menterjemah kan kan kan?

I got one copy from 'The Alchemist' by Paolo Coelho, and when I read the text, no wonder when I tried to read his books, it was to no avail. Bahasanya sungguh la bertingkat-tingkat!

My attempt at translating one of the paragraphs.

Engkau seorang dermawan.”
Huhu, I think I have to polish my Bahasa Malaysia.

Another text, that I tried, courtesy from Lynn is a bestseller kid's fiction (notice the keyword: kid?) entitled 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time' (Kejadian Pelik Anjing di Waktu Malam?). I feel so lost.

I tried another 2 books, Tuesdays with Morrie and Where Rainbow Ends, but I find it was much easier to translate The Da Vinci Code instead... HAHA, I am also surprised myself. Maybe for a simple fiction, the slang language is variable.

My attempt with Kod Da Vinci.. ahemmm (for anyone who has never read this book, please comment. Ada unsur saspen tak?)

Tanpa membuang masa, Sophie membuka kancing kotak itu. Dia menaikkan penutup berat kotak itu bersama-sama Langdon.

Mereka mengintai isinya.

Pada pandangan pertama, Sophie menyangka ianya kosong. Kemudian, dia ternampak sesuatu.

Beratnya!

Hehe, what do you think?

Selera Ramadhan

Sebab time tak masak, makan la roti dan segala benda lain. Nasi pun buat dinner tak selalu. Suami cakap, takpa, tahun depan buka puasa kat UK, boleh makan roti dan steak hari-hari (kahkah!).

Semalam pula Fahri cirit-birit dan muntah jam 4.30 pagi. Apa lagi, kena dok rumah la. Tinggalkan kejap kat rumah my mom, sebab nak withdraw duit kat TH. Dengar cerita adik-adikku, Fahri melalak sampai berpeluh (habis kebah demam). Masa pergi ambil semalam pun, dia dok nangis sebab ingat Ishu nak lock grill rumah. Padahal, Ishunya punya baik nak bukakan kunci grill.

Erm, sambung cerita selera Ramadhan. Semalam dah tak lalu nasi, kugoreng mee basah.. Air pula, habis kukerjakan juicer buat air epal hijau.

So taraaa... inilah hasilnya menu buka puasa:

1. Mee goreng basah - suami cakap lama tak rasa mee goreng aku masak (yelah, tak mintak, mana nak tau orang tu teringin, hehehe)
2. Sosej
3. French fries
4. Air epal hijau

P/S: Nampak tak bantal biru kecil kat sebelah tu? Tu bantal doll Amni, tapi Fahri dah lama ambil buat harta dia untuk dipeluk.

Alhamdulillah.... hujung minggu ni nak buat roast chicken. Walaupun resipi Aini best, tapi kuharus consider anak-anak tak makan pedas.

Hari pertama anak-anak saya berpuasa

Hmmm...

Kejut sahur, tengok keropok lekor atas meja pun macam nak / tak nak je telan.
Lepas tu baliklah kampung.

Aduh aduh.. puasa pun yok yak.

Esoknya, kejut sahur pun taknak bangun...

Nesting urge

I am pregnant at 27 weeks and 4 days with my 4th child.

Why I didn't announce the good news earlier?

  1. I got pregnant while I was on IUCD. Yes, I was the selected fews who is not in the 99.2 % success rate (on rarity, I was the one within the 0.8 % group). You can view the table here (courtesy of Mr. Wikipedia). Even the clinic's doctor was stunned when she scanned and saw my IUCD still intact and in working condition.

  2. I have non stop spotting for the first 2 months. Referred to Dr Rahman.

  3. I have complications approaching my third trimester. Shortness of breath, stomach pain.

Even the husband said it was different with this pregnancy, since my previous pregnancies were smooth sailing. Yelah, pergi haji tu time mengandungkan Fahri. And approaching my 30s, it was really tiring. I delivered my kids when I was 23, 24 and 27. This type of tiredness was associated with the 30s lah kot?

Last Friday, Dr Rahman gave me a type of asthmathic medicine (I am not an asthma patient, BTW). He said there is a possibility of the baby having a premature birth since I said to him my stomach hurts at night. He did warn me that my heart will beat faster as usual because of the pill. My emotion was strongly related to work stress.

The baby's umbilical cord is around his/her neck and shoulder. Found out about this when Dr Rahman scanned my baby. Even he explained the consequences of premature delivery (my baby is around 850 grams).

Today, I went to the clinic, because I have non stop stomach pain since morning. From my urine test, the doctor said my protein level is on high side (protein ++) and she prescribed me ubat air kencing lawas, and I have to drink 3-litre of plain water a day.

My pain went away at 3 p.m.

Please do pray for our health.

The new juicer

Suamiku membawa balik juicer baru Jumaat lepas. Jangan risau, harga dah habis mark down. Hari-hari kami dok minum fresh juice sekarang kat rumah.

Hari Jumaat, minum air epal merah (sesi testing).

Hari Sabtu, minum air epal hijau.

Hari Ahad, minum air fresh orange.

Sebab mementingkan kesihatan, jus semua tak dicampur gula atau air hokay... hihihi. Semalam suami dah beli lobak merah untuk aku testing buat air carrot 'o' pula..

"Kamu masih mahu sama aku?"

Baru balik BTN - Kursus Kenegaraan Master PhD ke luar negara. Eh Aini, walaupun terlepas panggilan BTN pertama, sempat menyelit tau dengan mereka ni. I am the only one who will further study in professional paper.

Masuk-masuk bilik hari Khamis, dapatlah pula dikelilingi orang bijak pandai. Sebelah kanan katil, Dr Shikin ditaja HKL untuk sub kepakaran paeditrician spine surgeon (nih bakal pakar bedah tulang / salur darah kanak-kanak) kat Liverpool Children Hospital. Yang sebelah kiri katil pula, buat PhD in Medical Information. Jadi selalu jugalah kena meeting dengan doktor pakar untuk memahamkan medical information berkaitan to be translated to the public. Atas katil aku pula, budak TM gak (hehehe, walaupun pakai purdah tapi sangatlah blurrrr), sambung Masters in Biomedic Engineering kat Imperial College. Atas katil sebelah kanan, jumpa lak Sabariah yang dok sibuk nak sambung PhD in Mathematics.

Yelah, kalau bidang yang macam Engineering, IT, Management, kan macam common. In my LDK group, ada this one medical doctor yang akan sambung Masters in Medical Forensic. Hehe, kerja seriously macam CSI. Huhu, tu baru first case :P

Other than that ada buat PhD untuk mengkaji penyakit kentang, transportation economy. Masters pun bukan calang-calang deme ni, tak terfikir dek otak course yang diaorang ambil. Sampai ternganga gak la dengar tajuk course tu.. Only me yang ado saja la.. hahahah.

Masuk kem pun sengih-sengih, orang-orang berumur pakai baju seragam sekolah. Siap doktor dalam bilik aku tu cakap, time cari baju, "Akak nak beli baju sekolah anak ke?". Makan pun, alahai, serius terkenang zaman sekolah asrama. Makan dalam tray dan kena basuh sendiri. Masuk bilik air pun beratur.. hahahah. Tiap-tiap kali nak makan kena jerit "Terima kasih penghulu".

Oklah BTN, seriously macam kursus sejarah. Time ceramah, ada tertidur gak, siap kakak belakang aku geram rasa nak baling pemadam sebab jealous tengok aku dapat tidur dengan tenang. Penat kalau hari start jam 5.30 pagi dan habis lepas jam 11 malam. Tapi my LDK facilitator is very excellent! Teringat mamat sorang ni, agaknya dah dekat time makan, muka monyok gila..

Rasanya kalau dah susah nak faham Sejarah tu, boleh la meningkatkan kefahaman bila dah go in depth sambil baca Akta Perlembagaan (ya, kena baca Akta Perlembagaan stail pemahaman peguam). Siap tengok filem "1957 Hati Malaya" tu!

"Salam En Yunus,

Kamu masih mahu sama aku?"

Aku adalah Raja!!

Memandangkan bini aku yg cantik jelita takda sampai senin, aku pun dengan muka tak malu mengisytiharkan akulah raja di rumah. Aku nak tengok tb cerita apa pun, takda sapa nak larang. Right?? Wronggg. Bila ada gerombolan yg diketuai oleh Fahri, jawabnya pagi petang dok tengok GBS, Dibo, Kapten Boleh, Mickey mouse dan seangkatan dengannyaa.

Heaven

Bila cakap heaven, kat tv dok tayang kita berada di pulau/pantai yang tenang. Sambil mandi manda kat swimming pool, minum Fresh Durian, tersadai kat atas pasir. Tak semua orang camtu. Anak-anak aku suka gila naik motor, especially En Fahri & En Fawwaz. Kalau dok perati mata depa masa naik tu, kita dapat rasakan begitu syoknye dia naik motor tu, macam heaven . Bagi anak2 kecil, benda2 yg mudah camtu la, datangnye seronok, suka, gumbira. Tak perlu diberi kapal selam dan belayar kat Pulau Duyong. Yang simple gitu pun heaven bagi diorang. Beri laa masa sikit untuk diorang, tentu dia akan kata 'Dah besar nanti saya nak jadi cam abah'. Kita yg dok serabut pun tenang kembali bila melihat telatah anak2 kita. Heaven oohhh, bersyukur bebanyak. Mak aiii bau apa yg busuk ni? Aiyaaa Fahri berak lagi. 3 kali dah hari ni...... heaveenn.

And you know why I love you...

Handphone dah sakit tahap masuk ICU, cuba revive kat kedai telefon pun dah tak jalan. Yang kelakarnya, handphone husband and wife dah tenat sangat-sangat. Macam berjanji-janji pula.

Yelah, sebelum ni, handphoneku dah tak boleh charge. Hari-hari tugas tukar bateri dengan handphone suami. Tu tak kronik lagi la bagi aku, sebab sakit kronik sebelum kes bateri tu, handphone dah biasa mati sendiri dan hang (yeah, benci betul... memang tak dinafikan handphone Sony Ericsson memang suka hang macam komputer). Tapi sebab dah ada faktor seperti handphone suami pun tak boleh nak charge dah dan suka betul hang (seperti handphone aku), jadi memang dah kronik sangatlah sebab tak boleh backup bateri. Sebelum masuk ICU pun, kami dah baiki banyak benda seperti menukar bateri baru dan tempat plug in charger.

Rasanya memang dah sesuai sangatlah nak tukar, padahal baru pakai 3 tahun.. huhuhu, frust makcik frust!!! Both of us are loyal Sony Ericsson customer, tapi sebab dah selalu sangat ada problem dengan handphone ni, aku bertukar ke Nokia balik... uhuhuhuh.

Suami pula cam tau-tau jer taste aku, sehati sejiwa ler katakan :P.

Personal matters

Huhu, how time flies. I do not even have the time to check my own blog. That's how busy I am. There was one time when my husband asked me whether I checked my e-mail (exception on office e-mail). I was speechless to tell him that I was so busy that I do not have time to check the Net.

I was on leave last Wednesday (my leave was actually on Tuesday), since I promised my hubby for his birthday's treat of 'Harry Potter dan Putera Separuh Darah'.

We settled everything on my personal matters first. And I missed the letter on BTN (kem kenegaraan) from MARA. Found out that they posted the letter on 7 July and we have to attend the BTN on 8 July. I have arranged another session with MARA next month, so you guys will see me huffing and puffing during the outdoor activities.. hahaha

Anyway, back to the Harry Potter movie, aduh.. it focused too much on romance. Yes, I did cry when Hermoine asked whether Harry feel like this when he saw Ginny with someone else. My expectation is not really that HIGH, since I have not read the book (hahahaha!). But I do pitied that Malfoy.

In fact, dh was shocked when I said I have not read book 6 and book 7, since I found JK Rowling has lost her appeal. Yes, being a bookworm like me, I can notice when an author lost his / her magic touch. Lynn, no worries, your books are still safe and sound with me.. hehehe.

Oh ya, I have registered our kids for Hajj. Their turn is on 2026. Oklah tu, considering my girl and boys will be grown up at that time.

But then, I so don't like it when I said to my friends,

"Pergilah register haji, sekarang ni giliran haji tahun 2026."
"Aku takut kalau aku register, by the time nak pergi, tak cukup duit."

Hadoi laaaa...

MU ticket for sale

If anyone want to buy the RM 68 ticket, free seating, blue entrance, please leave your e-mail / phone number here so I can contact you. SOLD to my friend's colleague!

Since the training pass is hard to get, if you want both, I can give you with the price of RM 78. (I am selling the training pass at RM 10 only!) This is just to cover the processing fee of RM 10 when my husband bought the RM 68 ticket in the first place.

TQ :)

What I did today on a holiday

Wrote a management report on Saturday. This is an adhoc requirement conveyed to me during our meeting on Thursday.

As I told my colleagues, "Selagi tak meeting tu, selagi tu lah asyik mengubah jer kerja." The problem is, the person commented on the fonts, the colours.. etc, etc, yes, the mundane stuff. Manalah makcik tak stress.

But since this report is a new requirement, and I am still in a blurry mode since no guidance at all, I started this 12 pages report from scratch. I do feel like writing a mini thesis, with the analysis done by me.

Adoi, pening makcik!

Office saya 'open concept'. Orang HR kami kata, ikut konsep DiGi.. tapi saya pun tanyalah, kalau ikut konsep DiGi, await GM duk dalam bilik lagi :D. Kalau ikut DiGi, VP pun kena duduk dengan eksekutif kat luar tau!

Inilah tempat saya.

Gosip-gosip hangat pasal T* ni, laga bahu je kakak sebelah ni, confirm tau cerita.. hehehehe. Saya tak tunjuk lagi space belakang saya. Staff saya duduk. Kalau nak bangun pun, kena bagi amaran dulu. Bukan apa, takut berlaga kerusi kami. Punyalah sempit.

Jarak saya dan orang sebelah. Mengimbas kenangan meja sekolah!

Jumaat lepas, saya dapat stok baru t-shirt Muslimah dari Pretty Modesty (kedai maya kak Tini). Dapat satu luggage besar. Lepas tu kakak belah kanan saya ni kata nak tengoklah t-shirt tu. Saya pun bukalah luggage tu, sambil tunjuk segala contoh t-shirt.

A(H1N1) boleh menyebabkan kami cuti :P

Dear Colleagues

On 26 June 2009, T* received a confirmed report that one of our colleagues in Menara T* is infected with the Influenza A(H1N1) Virus. This is the first positive case of infection reported in TM. Based on the chronology of events, the staff was probably infected during an official trip to Singapore on 19 June 2009. After experiencing fever and cold for several days, the staff was confirmed to be infected with the Influenza A(H1N1) Virus on 25 June 2009 and had undergone treatment at the Sg. Buloh Hospital.

Hmmm.. boss datang office dah pakai topeng muka.

Kalau nak tau cerita, GM baru balik Singapore sebab CommunicAsia event. Masuk-masuk office je, ada flu.

Division ada 20 orang, 4 orang dah kena kuarantin duduk kat rumah.. hehehe

Mid life crisis

Ayah sent us an e-mail last Friday. Found out that he is going to sell his motorbike. He said he was too old for a fast motorbike. I was so sad to read about it. He bought the motorbike end of last year, and Fawwaz was so excited about it that he insisted that the bike will be his when he grows up. Boys will always be boys..

Anyway, it is not only his motorbike that he is selling, he will be letting go his trusted digital camera to please my Ummi. .

As for the camera, it was one of the best in the line, and I find it very hard for me to see him taking the decision to sell it. I know that he has a deep interest in photography, since I was a child. When I saw him bought the camera for himself, I know it was about time for him to pursue his interest further. He is in his 50s and going to retire soon. He took beautiful pictures of the children with the camera, and I framed the children's pictures in our living room.

In his 50s, I found his indulgence pleased us, the children. Maybe because of the fact that I know Ayah's indulgences in life are very few, that I can't remember the last time he bought something for himself. All his life, he has been pleasing others (he splurged on his children a lot). So, when last year he pursued his interest (the camera + motorbike), I was so happy for him.

I have never known what Ayah really wants. I think when he bought the camera, it really pleased him a lot.

And when I found out he already bought the bike, I wish he would be a VERY happy old man.

Ayah, if you are reading this, please save the camera for me (I will pay you), and the motorbike for Fawwaz (maybe I will pay it in installment :>).

Cheers, Ayah!
