Ireland Day 2

Powerscourt House & Garden. Tempat ni terkenal dengan tamannya
Kurusnya lahai suamiku *_*

Anak-anak di dalam Powerscout. Cantik kan?

Bunga-bunga yang dijual

Di Glendalough

Terletak di antara 2 tasik.

Di Wicklow Mountain National Park. Kalau pergi Ireland, wajib datang sini.

Ha, kenal tak tempat ini? Filem P.S. I Love You shoot kat sini, masa hero pertama kali ternampak heroin.

Hentian terakhir; Malahide Castle

OK cukuplah tu.. rasanya Ireland ni antara negara yang sangat sesuai untuk melancong. Sebab banyak sangat tempat menarik bagi mereka yang sukakan pemandangan.

Dugaan Ramadhan

Hari pertama puasa, Sabtu lepas. Jam 6.30 petang.

Fawwaz memandang jam loceng atuknya, dan memerhatikan sedetik-sedetik pergerakan tangan jam itu.
"Fawwaz laparlah". Aduh, sabarlah anakku.
"Fawwaz tak makan lagi biskut atuk beli." Aduh, sabar anakku.

Setiap minit bertanya bila masa untuk berbuka.

Bila berbuka sahaja, rasanya dialah orang pertama yang paling gembira, sehingga makan pun bertambah-tambah.

Sehingga ibunya terpaksa komen,"Wah, kasihan anak ibu. Macam berpuasa di padang pasir."

10 Days Challenge: Become a Better Muslim

I have joined this wonderful challenge for 10 days.

There is no need for us to be physically there, just to ensure that the we accept the challenges to become a better muslim. Everyday, IU or Institusi Usrah Cyberjaya will post a new challenge for 10 consecutive days, and we must try to execute it.

Even though some challenges seem quite simple, but I do believe, we need a reminder on it. Like today's challenge:

Now, do you think this is a simple challenge? I think not, because how many times in a day that we say 'alhamdulillah' because we are grateful of the things that we take for granted.

Ok I am now reminding myself to say 'Alhamdulillah', because even though I had some hardships in life, I am still able to have my kids and my husband supporting me :)

I am going to upload the other 9 challenges that I have been following closely for this event. Why don't you try for yourself? Furthermore, with tomorrow going to be our first Ramadhan, I do hope that we will be much better to execute the challenge.

Feel free to distribute the posters and I do think that IU doesn't mind me sharing them with our brothers and sisters. May Allah rewards us with his Jannah upon us who are trying to be a better Muslim. Alhamdulillah :)

Sunway Lagoon

Please tell me you guys are not annoyed that I have been updating the blog on daily basis, heh... Anyway, since I have been updating about myself and my husband, it is time to update about my kids? Yes? No?

Before I forgot, and as memories keepsake, we went to Sunway Lagoon last Saturday, for my husband's family day. Of course, the kids were so excited to know that they can swim to their heart's content.

Getting ready for the main event. The kids did not take a shower since we have to arrive early there. Of course, there is no need for a shower since after all they were going to play in the water. And the organiser said that we can only enter the pool at 10.00 a.m. Do you think the kids will be happy to wait for nearly 2 hours to enter? Hmmmm :P

With all 4. We got KFC, mineral water, air kotak and muffins for our breakfast cum lunch. Thanks to the division for sponsoring the foods.

The kid who do not want to be in the water. The drama king (I am having a hard time with him nowadays). At last, he did play with his sister and brothers.

Even though the ticket can be used to enter amusement park and wild life park, since the kids had been playing non stop till lunch, I, as the mom, decided we need to go back.. If it is up to the kids, I think we have to stay back till 6 p.m. :P

Oh BTW, we did not even win anything in the lucky draw. Did I tell you guys, we have always been 'unlucky' in our lucky draws as always? Prfttt *_*

ACCA New Member Ceremony 2012

Received an invitation from ACCA Malaysia, that there will be a ceremony cum dinner held for the new members on 6th July 2012. Non members (or guests to the member) need to fork out RM 150 for the dinner seat.

The dinner was held last Friday at One World Hotel. After obtaining my membership last November, I was glad that ACCA Malaysia held a new member ceremony.

The long list of new members, and I still feel amazed with astounding numbers of Chinese Malaysians loving accounting.. tehee.

Before we went for the dinner, there was a briefing session held by the coordinator to explain about Continuous Professional Development (CPD), which we had to attend courses / seminars / meetings, and even reading technical articles for 40 hours. This CPD is compulsory to all members. It was an enlightening session knowing that you can obtain CPD just by reading the accounting magazine.

The accountants, and accountants. Hahaha, I have never been in a room full of accountants, BTW. Every person that I chatted with, is working in accounting / finance / audit.

Trust me, when people asked about my job, "I am a strategist" sounds much better than "I am an accountant." But I am still a professional accountant, it is just that I am not doing finance anymore, but doing strategy. Someone asked me to explain about my job, and I said I do physical reporting and risk management.

The large ACCA board that everyone keep snapping their pictures. We asked a waiter to snap our pictures.

Received my scroll from Dean Wescott, ACCA President.

Alhamdulillah, he respected my wish when I whispered to him, "No handshakes, please." Sometimes, it seems so hard to utter the words (and not sounding out of place) and before and after me, the Muslim women were shaking his hands. I will get a long lecture from my husband if I shake the president's hands. So, fine for me since it is still not permissible in Islam for a man to shake a woman's hands.

Aaah, the dessert. It was delicious! Orange parfait with chocolate sauce. We had a three course western meals for the dinner.

Started with bread and butter, then a steak, and we ended with this scrumptious dessert.

My table (coolest ever, we answered every trivia question wrongly when the emcee asked us).

Coincidentally, all are accountants except for my spouse and kak Lidza. Mr. Jazimin was the oldest among us, and he works at PIDM (along with his 2 other colleagues). He took 2 years to complete his PER (practical experience requirement) before obtaining membership. And he and his wife are good friends with my aunt and uncle. Heheh, small world after all.

As for the other guys, 4 of them took CAT (Certified Accounting Technician) & ACCA papers. In total, it was like 20 papers altogether in 4 years. They don't take degree after SPM, but went ahead with ACCA qualification. I was so impressed with them because it was not easy to pass CAT and ACCA papers. Even one guy, took the route of obtaining degree through Oxford Brookes when he finished his F7, F8 and F9 papers.

Best ever dinner attended. It was on time (started at 8 p.m. with VIPs arriving early) - being an accountant, punctuality is always important, I suppose. The emcee was one of the best; he managed his time well, he made intelligent jokes and not too dragging. And the dinner finished at 10.30 p.m, 30 minutes ahead of the stated time.

Masterchef

Selasa lepas:

Amni: Kawan Amni cakap Azwan Ali keluar malam ni.
Ibu: Mana Amni tahu?
Abah: Sebab kawan Amni kerja kat Astro <-LOL ^_^
Amni: Mana ada, kawan Amni kat sekolah cakaplah. Kawan laki.

Hadoi anakku, masa ibu kecil-kecil dulu, ibu hanya discuss pasal plot Meoro Attack. Tak sangka anak ibu peminat tegar Masterchef macam ibu.

Kira dah up sikit discussion budak-budak sekolah rendah zaman sekarang rupanya.. hihihi

Perencah ikan bakar

Even though I am a FTWM,I prefer to cook during the weekend. My kids prefer simple dish, and I try to varies my cooking. My husband is a kampung boy, who loves rice. But, after being married to me, I turned his taste buds to much simpler dishes without rice.

Last week, there was a promotion from a trailer. The trailer, was aptly named as 'Adabi on Wheels'. There were many spices on display, that I bought some for testing.

I didn't know Adabi produce Perencah Ikan Bakar, thus it makes my food preparation much easier. This one packet of perencah is for 2 slice of fishes. But I used it for 4 'ikan kembong'.

Preparing the fishes for grilling.

Grilling using a pan, it took me around 5-10 minutes for one side. The instruction behind the packet said to use banana leaves, but since I couldn't find one (hey, did you know anyone who sells the banana leaves?), I just use aluminum foil.

Finally, the grilled fishes were cooked to perfection.

Unfortunately, I do not have the after cooking picture, since we had been hungry *_*. However, the grilled fishes were delicious. Not spicy, and Fawwaz loves it.

Definitely recommended for busy moms :)
