Anak kita ahli syurga

Allah berfirman lagi: "Mengapa, Aku lihat mereka enggan masuk? Masuklah kalian ke dalam surga!"
Mereka menjawab: "Tetapi (bagaimana) orang tua kami?"

Usrah (with archery)

“O Bani Isma`il ! Practice archery as your father Isma`il was a great archer. Keep on throwing arrows and I am with Bani so-and-so.” [Bukhari]

The full hadith as below:

The Prophet (saw) passed by some people of the tribe of Bani Aslam who were practicing archery. The Prophet said, "O Bani Isma`il ! Practice archery as your father Isma`il was a great archer. Keep on throwing arrows and I am with Bani so-and-so." So one of the parties ceased throwing. Allah's Apostle said, "Why do you not throw?" They replied, "How should we throw while you are with them (i.e. on their side)?" On that the Prophet (saw) said, "Throw, and I am with all of you."

Alhamdulillah, did you know that for every arrow that you shoot, you will get reward from Allah? Masya' Allah, how ignorant of me. I didn't know that! Thanks to my junior for mentioning this to me. So of course, I checked for the hadith and found quite a few on archery mentioned by Rasulullah s.a.w.

This was our first time trying archery. It was fun, it was quick, and come to think of it, it is Rasulullah s.a.w.'s sunnah! Isn't it awesome?

(This photo was edited by the robots at Google+, I don't know how that robot can match my 2 pictures, but it turned out to be awesome!)

We had our usrah yesterday. And the girls even brought a tikar lipat to have some potluck. Hahah, cool isn't it?
We did our practice at Sunway Pyramid and we took the RM99 package with 250 arrows (around 31 arrows per person). For the kids, we paid RM 18 for 2 people (24 arrows).
Some pictures, and 2 of my older kids enjoyed it very much!

Fawwaz enjoying himself very much. His arrows are always on target. This is the kid area. I am quite confident my skill is lower than my kids, heheheh. Seriously the board shows the proof!

Amni trying her hands with archery. And her cousins tagging along. Yes my daughter is nearing the same height as me. Oh gosh!

Before we started our archery session, we had an usrah on solat. A simple but quick session.

Something different for our usrah this time! Thanks to the organiser for organising the event.
I had sore arms due to practicing archery yesterday.

Who says usrah is boring?

With the kids duit raya..

We bought an Asus Memo Pad.

Because, the last Samsung Galaxy Tab got broken by one of our sons. Because he could not score some games in the tablet. This boy shall be nameless for now.

And then when they asked for replacement, we said "No, we are not going to fork our money for you to buy another tablet."

They asked for an iPad mini, but the parents said, "You guys have to use your own savings".

As of now, they have around RM600 for their duit raya. Of course, to buy an iPad mini, I suggested them to find their own ways to fetch another RM400.

And then when we saw this 7 inch tablet at a much cheaper price and within the kids' budget, we grabbed it yesterday. A shop is having their 13th anniversary promotion.

The kids are quite happy when we show them this morning.

Hmm Fawwaz

Kisah minggu lepas

Fawwaz temankan kawan Fawwaz main."

Nek Umminya bertanya, tahu kenapa Tok Ayah marah? "Sebab Fawwaz balik lambat," jawabnya.
"Bukan, tapi takut nanti orang ambil Fawwaz.

Curious corner @ Book Xcess

After not going to Book Xcess for a long time, I went there last week.
There exists a new curious corner for children and adult alike.

The craft section is interesting, with items priced as low as RM 1 (Hallmarks' gift cards) and lots of craft stuff for kids.

The best part is, as part of Merdeka month, Book Xcess offered a much higher discount than usual for their members. I even won a skincare set from Etude House.

And this is the first time that I haven't bought any book for myself. All the stuff that I shopped were for my kids, for them to do their craft.

The price, I tell you, is quite crazy $_$ that I grabbed each item for the kids.
And it is still very cheap, since lots of crafty items are always highly priced. A wonderful alternative for parents to stock up on the items the kids want for their art and craft project.
